Customs Valuation Workshop for Customs Agents and Freight Forwarders in Uganda

Objectives

By the end of the workshop participants will be able to: • Understand the evolution of the WTO Agreement in valuation of goods • Applicability of the Principles of GATT 1994 Agreement • List the methods of valuation and their applicability in valuation of goods • Ability to appreciate the challenges associated with global market trends in international trade • Understand the importance of a robust valuation system in economic growth of a country • Ability to describe the global market challenges in international trade related to customs valuation
