  • Each practitioner must have a minimum of 40 CPD points annually. 30 points for structured and 10 points for unstructured CPD activities.
  • The cost of the CPD activity will be determined by the National Curriculum Implementation Committee (NCIC) of each country. The NCIC will prepare and share a calendar of structured activities with details including the dates, time cost, and the venue for each activity. The NCIC comprises representatives from the Commissioners of Customs, Training institutes of revenue authorities, and National Associations of Customs Clearing Agents and Freight Forwarders from each country.

  • The CPD program is run by FEAFFA Secretariat jointly with the EAC directorate of customs, East Africa Revenue Authorities, and the National Associations Freight Forwarding Industry.
  • A regional board, known as the East Africa Customs Agents and Freight Forwarders Board (EACAFFB) will be constituted to oversee the implementation of the CPD program in East Africa. The EACAFFB will have representation from all the players in the regional logistics sector. More details are in the policy framework and implementation guidelines.
  • CPD Management System is a digital platform developed by the Federation of East African Freight Forwarders Associations (FEAFFA) with support from TradeMark Africa (TMA).
  • The System is designed to support the rollout of the CPD program in the EAC region. It is accessible via smartphones, tablets, and personal computers that have reliable internet connections.

  • You need to sign up and create an account to be able to access the services offered by the CPD Management System platform.

  2. Create a CPD account if it is your first time.
    • Click on SIGN UP.
    • Enter your EMAIL and PASSWORD then click SIGN UP (use an active email address).
    • Log in to your personal EMAIL and VERIFY your registration.
    • Log in to the CPD management system using your EMAIL and PASSWORD.
    • Go to the MY PROFILE tab and complete all the required personal details. Click SAVE and SUBMIT after each instance.
    • Continue filling in your personal details until you click SUBMIT APPLICATION. (An email will be sent to approve or rejection of the application).
    • Once approved, you can download your certificate of registration. You can also start claiming your CPD points.
  • Each practitioner registered on the CPD Management System will have a certificate of registration and a certificate of compliance. The certificate of compliance will provide a summary of CPD activities and their corresponding CPD points attained within a given year.
