Cet atelier offre une compréhension générale de l’intégration régionale de la East African Community, en présentant l’historique, les instruments d’intégration, le cadre réglementaire existant, les avancées réalisées dans l’intégration et les défis, entre autres. This workshop provides a general understanding of EAC regional integration, introducing the history, the instruments of integration, the existing regulatory framework, progress with integration, and challenges, among others.

Objectives

À la fin de l’atelier, les participants seront capables de : • Décrire le concept et l’importance de l’intégration régionale au sein de la East African Community. • Expliquer le rôle général des transitaires dans le soutien au commerce régional. • Identifier les principaux processus impliqués dans le mouvement de marchandises transfrontalières dans la région. • Reconnaître les défis courants et les opportunités dans les opérations de transport régional. By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to: • Describe the concept and importance of regional integration within the East African Community. • Explain the general role of freight forwarders in supporting regional trade. • Identify key processes involved in cross-border cargo movement within the region. • Recognize common challenges and opportunities in regional freight operations.
